LE MERIDIEN HAMBURG, Hamburg – A Smart Stay in the City

My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. While the rooms were spacious and had a bathtub, they weren't quite ready upon my arrival, which was a downside. The hotel is a bit pricier than others, but the bigger rooms make up for it to some extent.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were super clean with a partial view of the Alster, which was excellent. The service was really friendly and accommodating to our questions and needs. The location, right on the banks of the Aussenalster, was superb with many dining options nearby. However, the dining experience was not up to a 4-star hotel standard. Overall, a great value for the price paid.

My stay at the hotel was quite enjoyable overall. The rooms, while not offering the best views of the lake, were comfortable, clean, and tidy. The service was friendly and attentive, making my experience pleasant. The location, though not super central, was right on the Alster, providing a lovely setting. The service was accommodating, although the towel restriction was a downside. The dining experience offered high-quality but pricey choices, and the facilities were top-notch, especially the Heritage restaurant with its marvelous lake view.

The hotel offers stunningly spacious rooms with a slightly obstructed view of the Alster lake. The service is professional and courteous. The location is superb, close to major attractions, but lacked some luxury feel. Dining options are rich, though crowded during peak times.

The hotel offers rooms that could be much cleaner but are still ideal for starting or ending the day. Free drinks at the bar were a nice touch, even though they were charged at top-shelf prices. The location across the lake is picturesque, adding to the overall charm of the stay.

The hotel rooms were comfortable, clean, and tidy, with the downside of not having a great view of the lake despite the same cost as upper floor rooms. The service lacked proper training, with some staff occupied and not attentive. The location was excellent for strolls and drinks but lacked accurate information for getting there from the train station. The dining experience was slightly expensive but fantastic. The facilities were generally good.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were superb, spacious, with top-notch fittings and a luxurious bathroom, complete with robes & slippers, typical of Meridien standards. However, there was a delay in room readiness upon my arrival. The service was exceptionally helpful, especially at the Reception, although there was a slight delay in responding to our requests. The location was good, in a fancy neighborhood not far from Haupt Bahnhof, with many dining options nearby. The dining experience was excellent, offering fantastic views, but the pricing seemed a bit steep for what we consumed. Overall, a comfortable stay with some minor hiccups.

The hotel room was facing another building and lacked connecting doors, obstructing the lake view we paid for; however, the staff were friendly and efficient. The location, although not ideal for walking to Hamburg sights, offered a breathtaking view over Lake Alster. Dining was pricey but had good omelette and bread selections. The facilities were decent, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful.
